Introduction to Electronic Circuit Design
In order to inculcate interest among the students in particular and public in general, the Innovation Hub (IH) of Regional Science Centre (RSC) Calicut organised a number of online educational programmes on various topics. One of them was ‘Introduction to Electronic Circuit Design’
Electronic circuit design comprises the analysis and synthesis of electronic circuits. To design any electrical circuit, either analog or digital, electrical engineers need to be able to predict the voltages and currents at all places within the circuit. Linear circuits, that is, circuits wherein the outputs are linearly dependent on the inputs, can be analyzed by hand using complex analysis. Simple nonlinear circuits can also be analyzed in this way. Specialized software has been created to analyze circuits that are either too complicated or too nonlinear to analyze by hand.
In this online programme, efforts has been made to introduce this topic in a lucid and coherent way so that newcomers can gradually realise its importance and try their hands venturing in depth.
