ASTRONOMY CLUB
The centre has a very strong Amateur Astronomy Club. The membership is open to all astronomy enthusiasts. We have members ranging from high school students to senior citizens.
Many of them are professors, scientists, teachers, working engineers and medical graduates. Various astronomical activities like observations, seminars, workshops, visit to observatories, short and long term astronomy courses are arranged periodically Astrophotography, Astronomy Drama; Innovative Astronomy outdoor experiments; Workshops on telescope making; Road side Astronomy; Citizen Science Astronomy; Messier marathon; Eclipse & Occultation watch; Meteor Shower Astronomy etc. Further they conduct exhibitions in schools and engineering institutions with many Astro exhibits and desk top models, charts, slide shows etc.
Membership for the Astronomy Club is 1000 Rs. for one year.
