Regional Science Centre and Planetarium (RSCP), Calicut Conducts an in-depth classroom program in ‘Astronomy and Astrophysics.

The course of six months duration and covers fundamentals of the subject.

"Classes are held from 5 pm to 6.30 pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays. "

Applicant should have Passed +2/HSE/ISC with Physics & Mathematics. B.Sc Students/ School Science Teachers/ Any Interested Person satisfying

eligibility condition are encouraged to apply. Basic reading materials are provided to all participants. The course work includes multimedia lectures and and observation sessions using sophisticated telescopes/ astronomical instruments; continuous assessment through compulsory assignments; theory tests, Data Analysis test and Observation test. Certificates are given to all participants who successfully completes the course scoring an overall minimum of 30% marks in all tests and records a minimum of 60% attendance.

Registration fee is Rs. 2500/-. Interested person can register by paying the fees at the cash counter in the administrative complex of RSC & Planetari.
