Malabar SciQuest 2025

Malabar SciQuest 2025 Regional Science Centre and Planetarium (RSCP), Calicut, successfully organized Malabar SciQuest 2025 — a multi-level inter-school science quiz competition designed to ignite young minds and nurture a spirit of scientific inquiry among high school students of the Malabar

region. The competition aimed to foster critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and a multimodal appreciation of science, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The quiz tested not only factual knowledge but also analytical skills through activities such as identifying

visuals and instruments, interpreting real-life scenarios, decoding scientific paradoxes, understanding data and graphs, and connecting seemingly unrelated ideas across various domains of science and technology. A total of 18 schools participated in the event, each represented by a team of two

students. Level I, conducted on November 3, 2025, was a written quiz comprising multiple sections that assessed participants’ awareness of scientific concepts — from local scientific institutions and discoveries to global advancements and universal phenomena. Level II, held on November 7, 2025,

featured engaging Audio–Visual rounds that tested quick thinking and collaborative problem-solving. The eight top-performing teams from Level I were divided into two clusters (Cluster I and Cluster II), and the best two teams from each cluster qualified for the Grand

Finale. The Grand Finale, held on November 11, 2025, was a vibrant display of intellect, enthusiasm, and scientific reasoning, as the finalists battled for the championship title. The top three teams were honoured with trophies and cash prizes, while the fourth-place team
