The Planetarium at RSCP Calicut is being upgraded with a state-of-the-art digital projection system. As part of this major enhancement, the existing projectors will be replaced with advanced technology capable of delivering vibrant, high-resolution full-dome visuals, providing visitors with a more immersive and realistic journey through space.

To facilitate the installation and commissioning of the new system, the Planetarium will remain closed from Monday, 13 July 2026, for a short period.

"All other facilities and activities, including 3D shows, galleries, the Science Park, and educational programmes, will continue to function as usual. "

The reopening date of the upgraded Planetarium will be announced through our official communication channels.
