International Day of Persons with Disabilities at RSCP Calicut
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), observed every year on December 3, promotes the rights, dignity, and well-being of persons with disabilities and highlights the importance of ensuring their inclusion in every sphere of life. Proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1992, this day reinforces the global commitment towards building an accessible and equitable society.
Regional Science Centre & Planetarium Calicut (RSCPC), a unit of the National Council of Science Museums under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is dedicated to fostering scientific temper, rational thinking, and non-formal science education among all sections of society. Inclusiveness remains a core value of science centres, museums, and planetariums worldwide.
"As part of the observance of IDPD, RSCPC is pleased to offer free access to all its facilities for persons with disabilities, as well as for student groups from special schools serving children with disabilities."
